FINANCIAL AUDITOR FOR 2014 – 2015

The Organisation

Hepatitis Queensland Inc (HQ) is an incorporated, community based, charitable organisation which recognises the diversity of, and represents the interests of, people affected by or at risk of viral hepatitis. HQ is located in Brisbane and operates throughout Queensland. Further details can be found at www.hepqld.asn.au including the audited 2014 Financial Reports.
The HQ Board has a policy of changing auditors as a routine component of risk management. Annual turnover for 2014/2015 is expected to be around $1.1 million. HQ:
  • Is an Incorporated Association, a registered charitable organisation, registered for GST and is FBT exempt. HQ has DGR status.
  • Is funded largely by grants from Queensland Health, with audited annual acquittals required following the end of financial year.
  • Operates AccountRight Premier 19.9 and utilises EFT via NAB
  • Employs eight staff under an Award.
  • Has no real property assets.

The Requirement

HQ is seeking to appoint a qualified auditor in accordance with the following:
  • To be appointed ASAP.
  • Conduct a financial audit of the accounts for FY 2014/2015.
  • Provide a finalised audit report with audited financial statement by 31 August 2015.

Registering Interest

Persons or entities registering interest should provide the following:
  • Contact details and audit qualifications of the proposed auditor
  • Details of two referee organisations in the NGO sector in Queensland.
  • A quote for the audit work, or the charge out rate and estimate of time involved.
  • Confirmation of ability to meet the audit timeframes.
  • A draft of the proposed letter of engagement.
Interested parties should forward an EOI to ceo@hepqld.asn.au by 17.00 Monday 13 April 2015.

FINANCIAL AUDITOR FOR 2014 – 2015

The Organisation

Hepatitis Queensland Inc (HQ) is an incorporated, community based, charitable organisation which recognises the diversity of, and represents the interests of, people affected by or at risk of viral hepatitis. HQ is located in Brisbane and operates throughout Queensland. Further details can be found at www.hepqld.asn.au including the audited 2014 Financial Reports.
The HQ Board has a policy of changing auditors as a routine component of risk management. Annual turnover for 2014/2015 is expected to be around $1.1 million. HQ:
  • Is an Incorporated Association, a registered charitable organisation, registered for GST and is FBT exempt. HQ has DGR status.
  • Is funded largely by grants from Queensland Health, with audited annual acquittals required following the end of financial year.
  • Operates AccountRight Premier 19.9 and utilises EFT via NAB
  • Employs eight staff under an Award.
  • Has no real property assets.

The Requirement

HQ is seeking to appoint a qualified auditor in accordance with the following:
  • To be appointed ASAP.
  • Conduct a financial audit of the accounts for FY 2014/2015.
  • Provide a finalised audit report with audited financial statement by 31 August 2015.

Registering Interest

Persons or entities registering interest should provide the following:
  • Contact details and audit qualifications of the proposed auditor
  • Details of two referee organisations in the NGO sector in Queensland.
  • A quote for the audit work, or the charge out rate and estimate of time involved.
  • Confirmation of ability to meet the audit timeframes.
  • A draft of the proposed letter of engagement.
