There are safe and effective vaccines that protect you from getting hepatitis A and B.  While there is no vaccine for hep C, by being ‘blood aware’ you can reduce your overall chance of being exposed to the virus.

People with chronic hepatitis can do a number of things to stay healthy including limiting/avoiding alcohol, reducing stress, not smoking, getting regular exercise and eating a healthy diet.

Hepatitis Queensland held its 21st Annual General Meeting on Thursday 17 November 2016 at the University of Queensland.

We celebrated what has been a significant year for our organisation and the community.

Hepatitis Queensland 2016 Annual General Meeting Update

Hepatitis Queensland held its 21st Annual General Meeting on Thursday 17 November 2016 at the University of Queensland.

We celebrated what has been a significant year for our organisation and the community.

We would like to thank everyone who is part of the Hepatitis Queensland family, including our members, partners and volunteers, for your invaluable support.

And of course, thank you to those who attended the event and shared in the celebration of Hepatitis Queensland turning 21. We hope you enjoyed the cake!

Board Appointments
The following appointments were made to the Hepatitis Queensland Board:

21st Anniversary
Last but not least, Hepatitis Queensland celebrated its 21st birthday with a presidential toast and cutting of the cake.
