This 3-hour dinner update will provide information on hepatitis B and hepatitis C epidemiology, disease transmission, interpretation of results, management and treatment, including new Direct Acting Antivirals (DAA) for hepatitis C.

Case studies will be presented for discussion by a panel of specialists, GP’s and Nurses and will focus on the effects of viral hepatitis in patients from refugee backgrounds and their families.

Hepatitis C New Treatments Course for Primary Care Providers: ASHM

Date: Saturday, 25 February 2017
Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm
Venue: Brisbane North Primary Health Network

New highly effective interferon-free hepatitis C medicines that are well tolerated were made available on the PBS General Schedule (‘Section 85’) from 1 March 2016. General practitioners and other medical practitioners can prescribe these treatments. This course will cover patient assessment, screening for cirrhotic status, management of comorbidities, treatment choice and monitoring.

Free Upcoming Hepatitis B & C Training

Viral Hepatitis Training Update: ASHM

Date: Thursday, 2 March 2017
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Venue: Diana Plaza Hotel, Woolloongabba
This 3-hour dinner update will provide information on hepatitis B and hepatitis C epidemiology, disease transmission, interpretation of results, management and treatment, including new Direct Acting Antivirals (DAA) for hepatitis C.

Case studies will be presented for discussion by a panel of specialists, GP’s and Nurses and will focus on the effects of viral hepatitis in patients from refugee backgrounds and their families.

Hepatitis C New Treatments Course for Primary Care Providers: ASHM

Date: Saturday, 25 February 2017
Time: 9:30am – 4:30pm
Venue: Brisbane North Primary Health Network

New highly effective interferon-free hepatitis C medicines that are well tolerated were made available on the PBS General Schedule (‘Section 85’) from 1 March 2016. General practitioners and other medical practitioners can prescribe these treatments. This course will cover patient assessment, screening for cirrhotic status, management of comorbidities, treatment choice and monitoring.

Preparing Patients for Interferon-free Treatment for Hepatitis C in Drug and Alcohol Settings: ASHM
